The Owerri Zone Leaders of Thought (OZLT) have congratulated the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, on his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Director-General and National Ambassador of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The commendation was contained in a statement signed by the Lead Administrator of the group, Hon. Barr. Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike), who described the development as “a moment of immense pride for the entire Owerri Zone.”
According to the OZLT, the appointment represents “a national validation of the Governor’s courage, wisdom, and steady leadership—qualities we have long admired and benefited from.”
The group said Governor Uzodimma has consistently demonstrated the capacity to bridge divides and promote inclusiveness, noting that his new role aligns with his long-standing belief in unity and cooperative governance.
“His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma (PhD), has rightfully emerged as the father of the new Imo, championing a transformational agenda that has repositioned the state on a clear and progressive path.”
OZLT added that “this honour is fitting and well-earned. It underscores the respect he commands across the country and reaffirms his place as one of the leading voices shaping Nigeria’s future.”
The statement further highlighted the significance of the timing, stressing that Nigeria is at a stage where thoughtful and experienced leadership is crucial. It expressed confidence that the Governor’s “calm but firm leadership style” and “strategic insight” will enrich the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The organization urged the people of Imo State, the South-East, and Nigerians at large to support Governor Uzodimma as he assumes the new national responsibility. “His success is our collective success,” the group stated.
The OZLT concluded by praying for God’s guidance and strength for the Governor, expressing optimism that his contribution at the national level will bring positive results for the country.
