It is laughable, pitiful, and outright shameful that the faceless hack hiding under the shadow of “Paradox” would dare spew such garbage and call it a “final warning.” You are not warning anyone—certainly not me, Gregory Aharanwa. You are whining like a drowning man grasping at straws. You and your clique of political rent-seekers in Owerri are jittery because the truth being projected by your fellow brothers and sisters, elder statesmen and women, and ordinary noble people of Owerri Zone—not the Bring Back Ohakim (BBO) organization as you falsely claim—has punctured the balloon of your lies. If you have any value left in your existence as a human being, reveal your true identity so that Owerri people can assess you and judge whether you even have the pedigree to speak for them.
For decades, a group of self-centered individuals squandered our goodwill, wasted our opportunities, and pocketed our collective wealth for themselves and their families, all while pretending to be championing Owerri’s cause. But those days of ignorance are gone. Today, Owerri people are wiser. We have risen to challenge and dismantle that symbol of oppression, and in its place enthrone a leadership that will genuinely represent Owerri causes for Owerri people.
How selfish can these supposed leaders be? Must it always be them, their family members, and their cronies? For decades, leaders from Owerri North Local Government have hijacked Owerri Zone’s platform to incubate and promote only their private and family interests. They pretended to be speaking for Owerri Zone, but in reality, they worked only for themselves.
At last, the veil has fallen. These selfish leaders have held power and top positions at both state and federal levels: Ministers, Ambassadors, Presidential Advisers on Ecological Fund, and even planting their blood brother as Deputy Governor in Imo Government House. They have occupied top offices in banking, telecommunications, and the church. In the old East Central State, they equally held sway. Under Presidents Obasanjo and Jonathan, they controlled “A-portfolios” as Ministers.
The question remains: apart from amassing filthy wealth for themselves, what did they bring home for the benefit of Owerri Zone? Absolutely nothing.
During those periods, they had unfettered access to Government Houses, Aso Rock, and every corridor of power, yet Owerri Zone never received anything tangible from them. They only flaunted their wealth before us, sent their children abroad for comfort, and deceived us with empty promises. Not again—their time is up.
Now, back to you—the faceless “Paradox.” Too timid and too cowardly to own up to your real name. You boast that the so-called Imo Charter of Iniquity has been “settled in Owerri” and even claim that Okigwe people support your delusion. I challenge you: name just one credible son or daughter of Okigwe who has endorsed your so-called position. Just one. You cannot—because there is none. If indeed Owerri’s Charter of Iniquity is “settled,” then why do you and your leaders troop to Government House every month begging for recognition and affirmation? Who are you trying to convince—Imo people or yourselves?
You recycle the same tired lies that have long been debunked—imaginary scandals, concocted betrayals, fabricated personal smears, and other nonsense. These falsehoods were retracted by the very people who peddled them for selfish ends over a decade ago. Yet you keep flogging a dead horse. You live on an island of delusional grandeur, cut off from reality and truth.
Let me be clear, assuming your coconut head can absorb the truth: none of your propaganda can erase Dr. Ikedi Ohakim’s unmatched governance record—the 10,000 Graduate Job Scheme, IROMA and ENTRACO environmental reforms, the Imo Freeway Project, mass recruitment of healthcare professionals, the establishment of ISOPADEC, and other bold policies. These remain unmatched by your so-called Owerri “leaders” who, despite decades in government, cannot point to a single legacy for Owerri people apart from their lavish lifestyles.
You claim there is no cabal in Owerri but only “trusted leaders.” Trusted to do what? To fail? To sell out? To cheat and keep the zone in political darkness for over two decades? You parade names like Agbaso, Kema, and Ndaa Captain—serial failures who never crossed the finish line. That is not leadership; it is a cabal of professional aspirants feeding fat on Owerri people through photo-ops and courtesy visits while contributing nothing. Because of their selfishness and incompetence, Owerri Zone lost its rightful chance to complete a second term in 2023.
You say Ohakim “lacked capacity” in 2007. If so, how did he win against all odds? How did he govern Imo and leave behind achievements that even adversaries acknowledge? If Ohakim was “lucky,” then Imo needs more of that luck—because it produced jobs, roads, environmental reforms, expanded healthcare, and ISOPADEC, which continues to benefit oil-producing communities. Compare that with the emptiness of your camp, and you will understand why you tremble at his name.
You claim Ohakim “betrayed Jonathan.” That is perhaps your most foolish distortion. Ohakim was one of Jonathan’s strongest allies in the Southeast. The betrayal came not from him, but from Owerri cabals who conspired in Abuja and orchestrated a civilian coup to stop him in 2011. Stop rewriting history.
And then, the desperation—you end with false bravado, claiming Owerri’s victory in 2027 is “imminent.” If that were true, why the panic? Why waste your ink writing senseless tirades against BBO 2027? Why foam at the mouth over Ohakim? Because deep down, you know the truth: 2027 is the legitimate turn of Okigwe Zone, through their illustrious son, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, completing his constitutionally guaranteed final four years. That is equity, that is justice, and that is the desire of most Owerri people in particular and Imo people in general.
You insulted me, Gregory Aharanwa, a true son of Owerri, who, like Ndaa Bob Njamanze, Elder Paddy Obinna, Prof. Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe, Sir Amb. Jerry Opara, Arch. Amaugo Ugoji, and many others, is courageous enough to put name and face behind his position. The truth never hides. We never surrender it. We never run from it. We stand on it.
You insulted Bob Njemanze. You insulted BBO 2027. But behind your noise lies fear—fear that Okigwe’s legitimate right through Ohakim is unstoppable, fear that your formations are empty shells, fear that your lies no longer deceive Imo people.
Let it be known: as much as I do not speak for BBO 2027, from what I know of them, they will never bow to the intimidation of Egbu/Emekuku pamphleteers and political thugs. Like myself and the other Owerri leaders I mentioned, they confront lies with truth, propaganda with facts, and cowardice with courage. Their story is not only about Ohakim; it is about justice, equity, and the political soul of Imo State.
So, “Paradox”—or whatever gutter name you hide under—here is your final reply: Stay silent, or keep writing rubbish and thereby exposing your emptiness. Either way, your words carry no weight, your threats are hollow, and your fear has already betrayed you.
